Desiree Blute is an accomplished harpist in Tucson, Arizona available to provide the perfect blend of classical touch and a youthful spirit with her beautiful harp music. She is available for formal and informal events including weddings, parties, fundraisers, corporate events, and any other special occasion.

Desiree has been performing with the Tucson Philharmonia Youth Orchestra for the past seven years and is the principal harpist. Additionally, she has been a guest performer with the Catalina Foothills High School band, the Green Valley Concert Band, the Arizona Symphonic Winds, and the Foothills Philharmonic. Desiree was the principal harpist of the South Central Regional Honor Orchestra in both 2023, 2024, 2025,, and she successfully auditioned into the Arizona All-State Orchestra in 2023, 2024, and 2025. In May of 2022, Desiree was selected by the Arizona Department of Health Services to serve as a role model for teens in an anti-vaping campaign, the Unvape Generation. During Valentine’s Day week in 2023, she performed a 4 part recital series at La Encantada entitled “Love Notes.”


Desiree received many musical accolades throughout her middle and high school years. At age 13, Desiree was recognized as a special citation winner in the Tucson Philharmonia scholarship competition. She was a finalist again in 2024 earning a silver award and a gold medal winner in 2025. As a result, she earned the spot of featured soloist in 2024 and 2025. She has placed first in the harp division of the Civic Orchestra’s Young Artist Concerto Competition in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, and she was featured as a guest soloist in their concert in 2024.  Desiree performed as the featured soloist with the Arizona Symphonic Winds in 2023, performing the first movement of the Boieldieu Harp Concerto. In 2023 and 2024, she was recognized with a “Best in Class” acknowledgment in the Arizona State High School Solo and Ensemble competition, and in 2025 received the top honor of performing a solo recital. At the World’s Strides festival in Disneyland, Desiree has received the “Maestro” award for demonstrating exceptional musicianship four years in a row (2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025). She also received the first place award in the 2024 Charleston International Music Competition. She received the Platinum Award in the 2025 Brahms International Music Competition, and also earned the Absolute 1st Place Award in the Fanny Mendelssohn International Online Competition IV Edition: 2025

In 2022, Desiree was selected to participate in the Arizona Department of Health UnVape Generation Campaign.  She hopes to use her music as a means of pursuing her passion of helping others, and has volunteered playing her harp music for the hospitalized children at the Diamond Children's Hospital in Tucson. She has future aspirations of pursuing a career in medicine as a pediatric oncologist.

Desiree also has experience in studio recording sessions and provided the solo incidental music for the Scoundrel and Scamp Theater's production of “You and Me and the Space Between.”

In addition to her harp playing, Desiree is a competitive swimmer competing at the state and national levels.
